Teachers from  RancheView School in Cochrane can now add rockstar and YouTuber to their list of credentials!

In wanting to do something special for their students they collaborated from afar to create their own version of the iconic Queen Anthem "We Will Rock You."

Their Version entitled "We Are RancheView" made its debut on Youtube on Friday.

Kelly Campbell is a teacher at RancheView School and she says that it has been so long since the teachers have been able to see their students in person, and they wanted to do something special to let them know how much they are missed.

She says that the teachers performed a different rendition of this for an assembly a few years back and it gave the students a good laugh. So, back by popular demand, the teachers have decided to once again collaborate for their students viewing and listening pleasure.

Campbell says that the school music teacher Laureen McNaughton rewrote the lyrics and all the teachers played a part in the music video. Campbell provided the electric drum track for the performance and the guitar solo was provided by fellow teacher Paul Lipman.

Campbell says "Teachers all sent in videos of themselves either singing, lip-syncing or rocking out to the tune and we clipped it all together."
