Public skating closures remain in place for the Mitford Pond and Tim Bannister Memorial Rink.

The town has issued a notice, saying its due to ongoing mild weather.

They were originally closed on Dec 21 when temperatues began sailing above zero with mild overnight lows.

Officials says conditions will continue to be monitored and they will be reopened with conditions are more favourable for ice making.
