The ninth annual Stuff-A-Bus Toy Drive is happening this weekend.

Alberta Health Services has cleared the event and it is a go for tomorrow (Saturday, December 12/2020). Cochranites will be able to drop off donations right in front of Canadian Tire from 10 to 3.

Marina Chabbert from the Cochrane and area event society explains what Stuff-A-Bus is all about. “We collect toys, food donations, and monetary donations, on behalf of the Cochrane Activettes Share Your Christmas Hamper program. There is always a need at the time of year just to provide extra cheer for families that might be, you know, have come across tougher times this time of year so that's exactly what we do is try to rally, a big boost.”

“These are COVID-friendly plans I might add, so everything is on track, and we still have room on our schedule for people that want to do appointments or the photos with Santa.”

2020 has been a very busy year for the Cochrane Activettes. Many families in Cochrane and surrounding areas will be relying on donations from Stuff-A-Bus, Cochrane Foodbank, and the Share Your Christmas Hamper Program this holiday season.

Photo’s with Santa will be taking place outdoors this year and families are required to book online for a timeslot.
