New art installations are just around the corner for Cochrane.

Monday morning the Cochrane Crossing Civic Plaza Art Project task force announced the selected artists for sculpture installations at the community plaza near The Station at Cochrane Crossing.

Following submissions, the task force evaluated each proposal based on emotional resonance, creativity, thematic relevance, artistic technique, and suitability for the space and its diverse patrons.

Their recommendations landed in selecting three artists. Karen Ho Fatt for one sculpture and both Malann Klassen and Lara Kruger for two pieces.

"The selected artworks are poised to transform the Cochrane Crossing Civic Plaza into an immersive gallery of Cochrane's deeply rooted identity and community charm," says Kristie Bell, RancheHouse Event Centre, Community Events and Culture Manager. "They will serve as beacons of inspiration and reflection for all who encounter them."

Further details for the timelines and the unveiling of the new art pieces are expected over the coming months.
