The Holiday Spirit filled the Bighill Lodge on Dec. 15 in their first all-out Christmas party since the pandemic.

Up until being disrupted by the pandemic, the Bighill Lodge had the long-time tradition of holding a party with family and friends to raise Christmas spirits.

"This is the first time we've had family back in our house for a Christmas celebration since before the pandemic, so it's a big huge deal to have family back," says activity coordinator Kim Maclure. "We've been so excited to have for this party and to celebrate Christmas with our residents and their families."

ElletonesThe Elletones kept things bopping with upbeat live music.

From the moment you open the door to the lodge you are instantly charged with the magic of the season. There's plenty of socializing, bopping to the upbeat music by the Elletones, and a visit by Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

"Santa and Mrs. Claus (aka Bruce and Bonnie Comstock) are rock stars. They've been coming to the lodge ever year for the last 25 years to hand out presents that just make the party even more special."

Tuesday night, lodge residents will be touring the community to judge Christmas lights and hand out hand-designed awards to their favourite three homes.
