UPDATE: Unfortunately due to low registration numbers this event has been cancelled.

The original story follows.

Cochrane’s first-ever Trick or Trunk event is bringing family-friendly Halloween fun to town. The event is being held from 4 p.m to 8 p.m on the Saturday before Halloween (October 30, 2021) in support of the Cochrane Activettes Food Bank.

Participants are encouraged to deck out their trunks and themselves with spooktacular decorations and line the parking lot of Spray Lakes Family Sports Centre.

“People need to register to enter their car or any kind of vehicle and they have to decorate it with their own decorations.” Debbie Leah with Bright Ideas Cochrane explains. “We’ll have judging with prizes as well.”

This event is a drive-through style to encourage social distancing. Cochranites will stay in their vehicle while they cruise through the entries and each car will be able to vote at the end for their favourite ghostly vehicle.

“We have another section called a Cunning Corporation, and we are encouraging that businesses get together and compete with each other and try to make their business stand out from the rest to become the most fun incorporated vehicle that's decorated.”

Registration availability is limited and anyone looking to participate in Cochrane’s first Trick or Trunk can contact Bright Ideas Cochrane here.
