Cochrane trick-or-treaters won't have to fill up on just candy on Halloween night.

They can start the evening off with a free hot dog and juice box, drive-thru style thanks to St. Tim's.

Rochelle Snively, school council chair at St. Timothy Junior/Senior High School said they're excited to host their first ever Halloweenie BBQ Drive-Thru.

"It's an opportunity for us to give back to the community. We had hoped to do a back to school community BBQ but things were rushed in September. We've had a couple of months of school now to get something together and provide an opportunity for the community to come and see the school, students and staff and get to know everybody a little bit more."

They want to make the evening go as smooth as possible for parents, said Snively.

"They can stay right in their cars, we know it's a busy night and they probably need to get home and get ready for trick or treating and costumes and everything else. So this is just to make the getting kids fed part of the night, a little faster and easier."

The event will be held on Halloween from 4:30 - 5:30 at St. Tim's on Oct. 31.

240 free hot dogs with a juice box will be handed out.
