The annual Ladies Bonspiel of the Cochrane Curling Club was enjoyed by 32 teams.

About half of the rinks were from the Cochrane area and the rest travelled from as far south as Lethbridge and north as Edmonton.

Barb Gibson, of the curling club, says fine curling was complemented by a Saturday night banquet with live entertainment and a chance to bid on a wide selection of silent auction items. This year's theme was Anything Scottish, in honour of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts that gets underway tomorrow (Feb. 16) at WinSport in Calgary.

Gibson thanks the bonspiel committee for their hard work, the ice crew for great ice all weekend and the many sponsors who make it possible year-after-year.

Up next is the mixed bonspiel from Mar. 15 to 17. There's still time to register your team through the curling club's website.
