Tonight's season opener for Cochrane's high school rugby teams has been cancelled due to poor weather, but more games are just around the corner.
Weather appears to be improving in time for Monday, Apr. 22 matches against Holy Trinity, known for putting up strong sides. The boys team plays at 5 p.m. and the CobraCats at 6:30 p.m. at the SLS Legacy Sports Field.
The teams have their fingers crossed to open their 15s season on Apr. 20 at a tournament hosted by the Calgary Irish Athletic Club. It's also weather permitting.
Bow Valley and Cochrane High athletes combined their forces for both the boys and girls team.
