Stoney Nakoda women are being encouraged to visit the mobile mammography trailer next week.

The trailer will be set up at the Goodstoney Elder’s Lodge in Mînî Thnî on Oct. 5.

Women ages 45 to 74, the group most at risk of developing breast cancer, will have local access to the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Screen Test Program.

According to AHS, Screen Test improves access to cancer screening for thousands of women in Alberta communities where mammography is not readily available.

If you require transportation, you're encouraged to call 403-881-3920.

Appointments are required.

The mobile trailer will also be stationed at the Cochrane Urgent Care Centre from Oct. 6-13.
