Parking at the Lake Louise Lakeshore will cost you more this summer.

As of May 17, it will cost $36.75 to park there for the day, an increase from the $21 a day fee last year.

"This fee, along with fees collected from the shuttles, helps Parks Canada offset the costs of the traffic management program in the Lake Louise area." stated Banff National Park.

A shuttle service is also available for visitors to the park. Youth under 18 ride can for free, adult tickets are $8, and seniors’ tickets are $4.

Paid parking was first introduced to the area in 2021 and it was $11.70 to park there for the day.

Park users should note there will be construction along Lake Louise Drive this spring.

Visitors can expect delays and traffic disruptions throughout the summer.
