BobCon Act 1 is a go tonight at Bow Valley High School from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The entire community is invited to check out the innovations, arts, live performances and entrepreneurship of Bow Valley High School students.

It's also a chance to help support Helping Hands by participating in carnival games being spearheaded by the school's leadership students.

"This is a community event to bring everyone together," says leadership student Juliet McDonald. "Along with our partnership with Helping Hands, we're saying a lot about how you can make a positive impact in someone's life and get connected with your community. It's meant to be really positive experience to help people in our community and connecting all of us."

There's a fashion show, music and drama performances, and improv acting, BobCon Pitch Den and an e-sports tournament.

Being showcased are visual arts, game design, foods, entrepreneurship and business.

The event is designed to plant the seed for an even larger BobCon Act II in the spring. BVHS teacher Stefan Rasporich says the goal is to involve all Cochrane and Mini Thni high schools. He says Mayor Jeff Genung has already signed on to attend.
