No one could be more proud than father Darcy Scott.

Scott has been in Rock Hill, South Carolina cheering on his two children Katie and Sam Scott; who are two of ten Cochrane riders representing Canada at the BMX World Championships.

The experience, shares Scott, has been absolutely incredible. "It has been an incredible week; our Cochrane kids all did so great. There is over 3700 riders from all over the world and it's just been an incredible experience."

There are 330 riders representing Canada, and Scott's daughter Katie was one of two Cochrane riders to make it out of their motos moving on to 1/8's which was a huge accomplishment, shares Scott. Katie rode hard and came in 7th place, shares her dad. "Katie did us proud; she rode her heart out, I'm a pretty proud papa!"

Scott says all the families who went shared a similar experience, and although some riders may have been disappointed in how they placed, Scott says they should all be extremely proud of themselves. "There was a little bit of tears and some disappointment for some. The competition is amazing it's on such a higher level down here with all the people from all over the world but the kids who were down here did Cochrane proud."

Many riders traded their jerseys and are looking forward to sharing their stories as they return home.
