Cochrane's Tammy Cronin spotted a black bear wandering near the Bow River around Bow Meadows Tuesday afternoon.

"Just a heads up to the Bow Meadows area folks. I whistled to some people on the other side to warn them a bear was 50 ft from them." details a social post by Tammy.

"If you walk that area make noise and please keep your animals leashed so that bears, dogs, and people stay safe."
