The Cochrane Mixed Dart League is getting together for a fun day of darts on December 17 at the Cochrane Legion.

The 'Turkey Shoot' dart tournament is open to anyone who wants to play and this year's entry fee is either five dollars or a donation to the foodbank.

Ellision Smith, Cochrane Mixed Dart League Organizer, says they do a draw to decide on teams.

"From whoever shows up they just draw numbers. Usually, it ends up in teams of three."

The prizes for winners are Christmas themed and all in good fun.

"It's turkeys for first, hams for second, and Cornish hens for third. For the losing team, they get a can of Spam. It's kind of a fun thing."

Typically the 'Turkey Shoot' sees about 15 to 25 people which make up about 6 to 8 teams.

Doors for the tournament open at 10A.M.
