We've seen an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases for Cochrane-Springbank. 

As of Monday, we now have six active cases in our region. Twenty-one people have recovered. 

That's up from last weeks update on Thursday, July 16 when we had two active cases in Cochrane-Springbank. 

Six new cases have also been identified in Rocky View County, for a current total of eight active cases. Forty-three county residents have recovered after previously coming down with the illness.

Alberta has added 368 new COVID-19 cases since the provincial stats were last updated on Friday.

Right now there are 1,109 active cases of COVID-19 across the province, including 553 in the Calgary zone, which has once again been named a hot spot in the province with more than double the number of active cases in the Edmonton zone.

Over 8,300 people in Alberta have recovered.

Right now there are 86 Albertans receiving treatment in hospital, 17 of whom are in ICU.

So far, COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 170 people in the province, an increase of three.
