The Cochrane Generals have made it six straight with a pair of wins on the road against HJHL north division teams over the weekend.

On Nov. 10, they beat the Airdrie Thunder, 5-2, then rounded out the weekend with a 3-1 win over the Three Hills Thrashers on Nov. 11.

Aussie Daniel O'Handley scored his second goal of the season to tie the Thunder 1-1 by the end of one. Three goals in the second capped off the Gens scoring, enough to hold off the Thunder, who were limited to 22 shots.

Stephen Jones scored a pair and both Tristan Ripplinger and Evan Sine tallied singles.

Fifteen games into the season, the Thunder continue to struggle with just three wins. They finished second in the north division last season and advanced to the north final against the Sylva Lake Wranglers.

On Nov. 11, the Gens took a 1-0 lead into the third period against the Three Hills Thrashers and scored two more to come away with a 3-1 victory.

Declan Kinch got his first goal as a Gen. Ripplinger and Jordan Butz also scored.

On the road this Friday, the Gens are looking for redemption against the Sylvan Lake Wranglers.

The Wranglers were the last team to beat the Gens way back on Oct. 21.

The Gens are in Strathmore on Oct. 25 and we don't see them back here until Oct. 26 against the Coaldale Copperheads.
