Another successful season has wrapped up for the Cochrane High golf team.

The high school's emerging golfers returned with several banners at the divisional and zone level, followed by strong showings at the provincial championship, held in Lloydminster, Sept. 25-26.

The team of Toryn Bosanko, Isabelle Duguay, Erica Rott, and Katelyn Wise rallied back on day two of the 3A/4A schools provincial championships to win bronze.

Team captain Toryn Bosanko has won the zone banner every year from grades 10 to 12, says team coach Patrick Court.

"She had a fantastic final high school tournament finish to capture her second provincial golf bronze medal in three years," says Court.

Erica Rott competed in grades 11 and 12, advancing to provincials both years. Court says she was a great anchor and fierce competitor for the team.

This was grade 12 student Katelyn Wise’s first year competing. She was steady throughout the year providing timely shots when needed.

"Katelyn was a great addition to the team," says Court.

Court calls Isabelle their all-star player.

"This grade 10 student maintained her composure and played fantastic at the provincial tournament. She has set a goal to be a top-five player in the province for the next couple of years."
