Are you looking to get your chocolate fix this weekend? We have a rundown of Easter Egg hunts occurring around town over the weekend.

Canadian Tire is set for their 6th annual hunt Saturday morning (April 20), and Chris Birch, General Manager, says they will be hosting one-hour time slots for egg hunts and only a few spots remain. "It starts at 9 a.m., and there is a session every hour up until 12. Registration is almost full, but there are a few spots left, I believe only about fourty as of this morning. We expect that by today and tomorrow those last ones will be filled up."

Similar to past years, registered children will be able to hunt for eggs, take a picture with the Easter Bunny, and Canadian Tire will once again be giving away some bikes. "We are giving away three kids' bikes to people who have registered and no need for people to hang around after the event is done as we will draw names and reach out to the customers and let them know that they won a bike."

Anticipating about 500 children to take part, Birch shares 7000 eggs will be hidden throughout the morning. Never thinking the event would become so popular, Birch says now they can't stop. "It has kind of snowballed and now people look forward to it. We start to get asked in January and February if we are doing the event again. We look forward to having a fun day with the kids, and the joy that we see on their faces when they come into the store and search for eggs is what it is all about."
