Firefighters from both Radium and Invermere are battling a blaze which has reportedly destroyed an iconic Radium business. 
The fire which reportedly broke out around 10 am this morning (November 23) at iconic woodcarver, Rolf Veer's business, 'Home of a Thousand Faces' has also shut down Highway 93 in both directions as fire crews battle the blaze.
Although no details have been released as to how the fire started it is reported that Rolf Veer escaped without injury.
Less than a month ago, the iconic carver listed his home and carvings up for sale due to increasing health problems.
It is estimated Highway 93 will reopen around 4 pm today once crews deal with downed hydro lines.
