An armed suspect kept RCMP busy last night.

Constable Kary Moore says a call at roughly 11:20 p.m sent them to a liquor store on 4th Avenue.

"An undisclosed amount of money was taken, and shortly thereafter within an hour, the Cochrane RCMP responded to a second armed robbery of a second liquor store in Cochrane."

Both robberies occurred by knifepoint, and unofficially there may be a connection to Airdrie, which RCMP are still investigating.

"There was an armed robbery in Airdrie as well now we're not sure if they're connected."

RCMP are still investigating robberies in Cochrane and Airdrie at this time.
