Girls ages 13-18 are invited to come see what the Cochrane Jaguars are all about.

Paula Jeffries, Vice Chair of the Cochrane Jaguars, says they are looking for more young ladies who have an interest in volleyball to join the Jaguars this winter. "Our program is for girls U13 to U18 and our numbers have dropped this year, which happens; so we are really trying to reach any girls within that age group that are looking to start a competitive league of volleyball."

The Cochrane Jaguars have been around for 15 years and despite other clubs shutting down the Jag's have managed to stay. Although sometimes their top talent has been poached by bigger clubs in Calgary, Jeffries, states Cochrane has a good reputation. "We certainly had our times where we have done phenomenal. In 2015, we made it to Nationals at the gold level and it was very exciting. We have done good."

Jeffries shares even girls with minimal experience can join as long as the girls' have a love of the sport and want to learn more. "We do have three tryouts well actually four and they have to attend a minimum of two to be considered for one of the teams."
