For the second straight night the Cochrane Generals handily outshot their opponents.  For the second straight night, the Cochrane Generals lost.

After out shooting Lacombe 48 - 29 on Saturday night, the Generals fired 33 shots at the Red Deer net while the Vipers could only manage 19 shots at Gens goalie Erik Garber but it was enough as Red Deer scored a 4 - 1 win.

Red Deer opened the scoring in the first but Cochrane got a goal from Braden Bain eight minutes into the third to knot things up before the Vipers connected three times in the final six minutes of the game, the final one going into an empty Generals net after Garber had been pulled for an extra attacker.

The loss drops the Generals to .500 for the year with a 4 and 4 record.

Cochrane has a home ice encounter lined up Friday night at 7:30 pm when they entertain the Mountainview Colts at the Spray Lakes Sawmill Family Sports Centre.

Saturday night the Generals are in Coaldale to face the Copperheads.
