After an historic start to his NHL career, Cochrane's Tyler Wong is heading to the American Hockey League to join Chicago.

Wong was cut by the Vegas Golden Knights and assigned to their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

In three preseason games with the Knights, Wong scored three goals and added one assist. The three goals came in the form of a hattrick in the preseason opener for the Knights against the Vancouver Canucks on September 17th.

Wong signed a deal with the Chicago Wolves after graduating from the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League last season and eventually joined the training camp for the Knights.

The Chicago Wolves will open their regular season on October 6th against the Texas Stars.
