I went to put my yogurt in our staff fridge this morning and I noticed that there's some food that's been sitting in there for at least a month. Is it still actually good or has someone just forgotten to throw it out?

Shilpa and I are both pretty good at staying on top of cleaning out our fridge's at home. We usually go through it weekly before buying groceries or before compost pick up day. 

We've both been recently guilty of leaving cucumbers in the fridge for too long and having to clean up the green mess that occurs when that happens.

How often do you clean out your fridge? What's the grossest thing you've witnessed in your fridge?
