The generosity of Cochranites was evident on the weekend as 9.5 pumpkin bins worth of food was donated to the food bank.

The Helping Hands Society of Cochrane & Area held a food drive in east and central Cochrane on Saturday morning and volunteers braved the cold and heavy snow to pick up the food donations.

"Thank you the communities of Gleneagles, East End, Glenbow, Riverview and Greystone for 9.5 pumpkin bins of donated food" stated a posted on the Helping Hands Facebook page.

There will be three more food drives coming up this year to cover off the rest of Cochrane. They will take place on April 27th, September 21st, and October 19th.
