Canada Day is here! 

Tomorrow people all across the country will gather to celebrate our great nation. So here are the top five things you need to know for Canada Day in Cochrane tomorrow.

5. The Weather

It's forecast to rain tomorrow afternoon so I would strongly suggest bringing an extra layer incase the skies open up.

4. Pancake breakfast at the Legion

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, this isn't any less true on Canada Day.

Luckily for you, the Cochrane Legion is hosting a pancake breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon). After your pancake breakfast you can expect cupcakes for dessert, compliments of the Town of Cochrane. A perfect way to start your Canada Day.

The cost for breakfast is $4.00 for adults, kids 6-12 $2.50, and children under 6 eat for free, with proceeds going to help support the Cochrane Legion. 

3. Cochrane's Canada Day Celebration

Cochrane's Celebrations will be taking place down at Mitford Park.

Throughout the day there will be lots of activities taking place.

Starting at 12:30 p.m. till past 10:00 there will be a concert all afternoon feature lots of great local acts.

There will be food trucks set up in the parking lot providing tastes from around the world.

Throughout the afternoon there will be lots of activities and children's games for all to enjoy.

There will be a beer gardens set up for some responsible consuming of adult beverages.

The night will close out with a fireworks display at 10:45 p.m.

2. Transportation

Having trouble figuring out how to get to Mitford Park tomorrow?

Have no fear because there will be shuttle services provided by Southland Shuttles and Colt Transit.

Shuttles will be coming and going to Mitford Park all afternoon.

Specific pick up and drop off locations can also be found on the Cochrane & Area Events Society Facebook page.

If you are planning on riding a bike to the celebrations Big Hill Cycle are providing a Bike Check-in area from 12:00 p.m. to around 8:00 p.m.
