Cobras quarterback Christian Golem, receiver Ethan Clazie, and O-lineman Nathan Jasmin-Cara have worn the 'C' for the last time.

All three all-star players appear in Football Alberta's Senior Bowl on May 22 that was won by the North, 30-13.

After a scoreless first quarter, the North scored early in the second on a TD pass from Spruce Grove’s Josh Page to Leduc’s Mark Myrglod. The same pair hooked up in the third quarter and Page ran in a TD for good measure to put the North up by three scores.

The South made it interesting late with two fourth-quarter TD passes by Cobra QB Golem to Notre Dame’s Matteo Civitarese and Henry Wise Wood’s Jordayne Falconer, but a pick-six from Harry Ainlay’s Jake Gehlert ended the comeback.

Golem completed six of 20 pass attempts for 102 yards, the longest of which was 37 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Receiver Clazie racked up 27 yards on two passes and 72 yards on four kickoff returns with minus seven yards on one rushing attempt.

It's the third straight win by the North. including an overtime win last year, following four consecutive wins by the South from 2015 to 2018. The South has won it 16 times since the bowl's inception in 1990, but the North has been gaining ground and is now just one win behind. The 2001 Senior Bowl is the only one to have ended in a tie.

Cochrane High has had 72 players appear in the Senior Bowl. Four have appeared from the Bow Valley Bobcats.
