Skip Elysa Crough repeatedly stole the hammer to lead Team Alberta's women's team to victory in their opening game of the 2021 world Juniors Qualifier now underway in Saskatoon.

With the game tied 1-1 after six ends, the Crough team took one on the seventh, one on the eighth, and two on the ninth to put away Saskatchewan.

Cochrane's Julianna MacKenzie is lead for Team Alberta, better known as Team Crough.

They play B.C. at 1 p.m. today.

The winner of the bonspiel will represent Canada at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships in Sweden next March.
