Alberta's Team Crough has finished the World Junior Qualifier round-robin undefeated to secure the top spot in Pool B.

They defeated Nova Scotia's Team Stevens, 8-7, to earn a bye from the first round of playoffs today.

In the battle of top pool B teams, Crough jumped out to an early 7-2 lead over Stevens. The Nova Scotia team battled back and trailed 8-6 with the hammer coming home. Stevens slid a tad too far with her final rock, giving Crough an 8-7 win.

The Crough rink, which includes Cochrane's Julianna MacKenzie, enters the playoffs at 4 p.m. today against the winner of a game between Team Cluff and Team Belliveau.

The winning women's and men's teams will represent Canada at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships in Sweden next March.
