The "staycation" is the in thing to do for the summer of 2020 and the Stockmen's Memorial Foundation will be open for your viewing pleasure. The foundation will be reopening July 7 and hours of operation will be Tuesday – Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 10:00 am to 3:00pm, Closed Mondays and Statutory Holidays.

Executive Director, Scott Grattidge says, When you come through the doors you will get a taste of what the ranching community that has really formed Alberta what it is today." 

The foundation is 40 years old this year and was founded to commemorate the significance of the ranching and agriculture past of Alberta. You will find a treasure trove of items including a collection of western art and bronzes,130 rancher hats, a barbwire collection, brand archives and a lending library and periodicals.

So if you enjoy history, The Stockmen's Memorial Foundation should be on your staycation destination list. It's a wonderful opportunity to explore the area's past right in your own backyard.
