Town of Cochrane Recreation, Culture and Arts is encouraging families to get out and explore with its second Family Fun Run.

The run presented by the Fun Van will kick off Saturday August 13, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the Historic Cochrane Ranche Site.

Tarilyn Stieger, Community Program Leader, Cochrane Recreation, Culture and Arts, says they would love for tons of people to come and participate.

"Just come out and have fun, it's for the community," she says. "Bring out the whole family to participate, we're encouraging people to dress up in fun colours, we're also going to do a little fun warm up dance party, along with some face painting and games."

She says the run is also for people to discover the Ranche, and learn about the community.

"Be active and come discover the Ranche, because there's lots of beautiful natural spaces and a lot of rich culture and history we have to offer here."

Stieger adds Recreation, Culture and Arts is all about getting people to enjoy their community and have fun.

"We want you to get out of your work routine, get out the your house, get involved with your family and friends, bring the community together"
