The latest provincial update shows that the active COVID-19 case count in Cochrane dropped by one over the weekend and Cochrane is currently reporting 44 active cases of the virus.

Rocky View County, on the other hand, added eight cases since Friday's update and currently accounts for 86 of the active cases provincewide.

Alberta currently now has 12, 234 active cases of COVID-19, with 738 people currently in hospital and 123 in intensive care units.

To date, 1,436 Albertans have died due to COVID-19, and there have been 103,167 recoveries across the province.

Effective today, (January 18, 2021)  personal and wellness services are once again permitted to see clients on an appointment-only basis, and outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people are also permitted.

All indoor social gatherings are still strictly prohibited.
