Cochrane RCMP responded to a call of break and enter on May 22 near Sibbald Creek.

A homeowner found a male inside their garage, the confrontation startled the suspect who discharged bear spray and left the home.

RCMP say the home owner was unharmed and fled in a black Range Rover with stolen Alberta license plate BTK0990.

On May 23, Cochrane RCMP had a check stop set up on Highway 1A when a black Range Rover performed an illegal U-turn to avoid being stooped. 

RCMP say they did pursue the vehicle before the vehicle fled traveling at unsafe high speeds.  The member did attempt to activate their emergency equipment but the vehicle failed to stop.

RCMP have confirmed the black Range Rover was the same one from the break and enter on May 22.

RCMP say if you come across the black Range Rover occupied, contact the Cochrane RCMP do not approach the vehicle.
