Musician Paul Brandt is among leaders from the worlds of sports, music, media, and government who have come together in a new video encouraging Albertans to ‘help prevent the spread.’

The video is now airing on YourAlberta channels. It features important public health messages for all Albertans to remember during the COVID-19 pandemic, interspersed with self-recorded clips from leaders from a range of sectors.

“I want to thank all the prominent Albertans who lent their voice to this crucial message," says Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta's chief medical officer of health. In the face of this global pandemic, Alberta’s leaders are coming together to raise awareness about how Albertans can help prevent the spread,”

Also featured are hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, Olympic gold medallist Erica Wiebe, Oiler Leon Draisaitl, Reform Party founder Preston Manning, Edmonton mayor Don Iveson, Curtis and Brad Rempel of High Valley, former federal MP Rona Ambrose, musician Brett Kissel, Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi, broadcaster Ryan Jespersen, Senator Paula Simons, Flames alumni Jarome Iginla, broadcaster Danielle Smith, Blood Tribe chief of police Kyle Melting, Flame Mark Giordano, Enoch First Nation chief William Morin, entrepreneur Brett Wilson, Oiler Mike Green, as well as Dr. Hinshaw.
