Some landmarks were set by Cochrane Generals in their 11-0 win over the Lamond Lakers on Jan. 23.

Team captain Patrick Forde scored a hattrick in a six-point afternoon to climb to within two goals of a 50-goal season with four games remaining in the regular schedule.

Veteran defenceman Jordan Marks picked up a goal and assist to hit the 100 points in 100 games plateau.

Tristan Ripplinger scored two on a five-point game and is second in points in the HJHL behind linemate Forde.

As expected, it was a much different game than the night before against the Airdrie Techmation Thunder. The Gens won that one 4-2.

The Gens kick off a home-and-home series against the Airdrie Techmation Thunder on Friday night in Airdrie. They host the Thunder on Saturday night at the Cochrane Arena.

The Gens are on top of the north division but it remains a tight race. The Sylvan Lake Wranglers and Red Deer Vipers are tied for second, just seven points away with a game in hand on the Gens.
