A new dance studio in Cochrane is coming close to finishing it's Summer Session, and is preparing for fall classes.

Mountain View Dance academy held their first classes ever at the beginning of July, Chaela Houston, Artistic Director of Mountain View Dance Academy, says it was a wonderful experience.

"It was the very first thing we were offering and the classes have been absolutely amazing," she says. "The registration was small, but so many awesome people, and such a great start to Mountain View Dance Academy."

She is looking forward to an upcoming summer camp, as well as a 10 week Fall Session they will begin in September.

"I'm super excited to be able to be running classes in Cochrane, the people have been absolutely amazing, and so supportive. I look forward to meeting people who want to have dance in their life, because it's such an important part of my life. Dance has changed my life, and been the guiding force behind my life, I just want to pass that onto other people and share that."

Houston explains her goal has always been to create a space where people feel open to trying new things, she encourages anyone interested to give it a shot.

"Even come in for a drop in, the first class is always free, you don't have to commit to the full 10 sessions. Come in just to try it, and try something different."

Registration for the summer camp and fall classes is still open.
