The COVID-19 pandemic has not slowed down Sharon Marie White's musical career.

The Cochranite has been keeping busy writing, recording and performing her music, virtually.

She's been working with musicians based in Nashville, including Rascal Flatts drummer Jim Riley.

White recently released a new single called Pour Me Again.

She says she was listening to the radio and was inspired to write it.

"As I was writing I thought I kind of wanted it from a female perspective, because of course they always talk about guys and their whiskey and their bourbon and everything, so I was like, you know what, the girls after a hard week sometimes they just want to de-stress, and like the line says, blow off some steam or whatever. So it's kind of a female anthem. A shout out to the girls that are working so hard. It's not like drinking to excess or anything like that, I just wanted it to be a fun summer song."

And tomorrow, on what would have been her late father's birthday, another new song is set to come out.

Stayed Awhile featuring Chris Andres will be released on all streaming platforms.

"I wrote it in memory of my father who unfortunately passed away when I was only nine years old. So it's called Stayed Awhile and it's just reflecting and thinking, I wonder what he would have thought of all of this, I wonder if he's proud. When you lose somebody, it doesn't matter how many years have gone by, you still think about them."

White says she's got some big plans for when all restrictions are lifted and life gets back to normal again.

"I would like to just go out and play even if it's just little coffee shops or little impromptu concerts or something more acoustic, that would definitely interest me. The songwriting really for me is probably the most important. A dream for me would be to have someone record my song."
