UCP incumbent Miranda Rosin may have been prematurely declared elected in the Banff-Kananaskis riding according to the latest numbers of Elections Alberta.
With all 21 polling locations reporting, NDP candidate Sarah Elmeligi holds a slim 244-vote lead, according to the unofficial results.
They've been update to:
- Regan Boychuk / Green Party Of Alberta - 342 (1.5%)
- Sarah Elmeligi / Alberta NDP - 11,487 (49.4%)
- Kyle Jubb / Solidarity Movement Of Alberta - 156 (0.7%)
- Miranda Rosin / United Conservative Party - 11,288 (48.5%)
Rosin won the riding in 2019 with 51 per cent of the vote and pollsters suggested Elmeligi held a slim two per cent margin over Rosin leading up to this election.
