Amarbar Singh believes in the work of the Big Hill Haven women's shelter and has pitched in.
Yesterday, the owner of the local Liquor Baron donated $500 and hopes to contribute again in the future.
"Women are an important part of our society and the shelter needs support, so I felt it was important to help."
Tara McFadden, fund development and public relations officer for Big Hill Haven, says even with the challenges of the pandemic, their supporters have found ways to step up to help.
"We know it's been a tough time, but it's donations like this that allow Big Hill Haven to continue to provide the services and housing that women need."
On the horizon is the major fundraiser Cruz4Her. The Aug. 28 event is made possible by Cruise Cochrane and title sponsor Cochrane GM.
