The Jr. Chaos U13A team of the Alberta Junior Female Hockey League had a great weekend on the road to Innisfail.

The team brought home gold from the Gratitude Cup.

Cochrane went undefeated first against the Leduc Roughnecks with a score of 15-1, a 6-0 win against the Edmonton Warriors, 3-2 over the Edmonton Hurricanes, and a nail-biting 4-3 win over the Fort St. John Predators in the final.

The Jr. Chaos were trailing 3-2 in the third until Kaia Fleming tied it up with just over two minutes to go in the period.

Then with one minute remaining in the third, Reese McKay scored the breakaway game-winning goal.

On top of winning gold, Cochrane also won the Shootout Challenge and brought home a $250 donation for the Cochrane Activettes Food Bank.
