There were 1,140 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the province making for a positivity rate of 9.6 per cent on Sunday, May, 16. 

There are 22,280 active cases in the province. 

There was a decline in hospitalizations for the fourth day in a row as there were 39 fewer people in the hospital and bringing the total to 647. 

The same could not be said for ICU admissions which set another record of 186 on Sunday.

Another three deaths were reported bringing that total to 2,143. 

To date, 42 per cent of Albertans have received at least one dose of vaccine while 7.3 per cent have been fully immunized with two doses. 

Cochrane dropped again to 176 active COVID-19 cases and Rocky View County also saw a decreased to 270.
