A group of residents has banded together to let frontline workers know just how much they are appreciated.

Today, they are reaching out, using physical distancing, to provide a cross-section of first responders and essential workers, including grocery store workers, with coffee and doughnuts. As well, thank you cards have been specially prepared by a handful of youth to accompany the treats.

"We appreciate our first responders and essential workers who are doing such a great job. We want to give them a little thank you," says Singh Palwinder, better known as Paul.

He says seven people teamed up to provide the treats and prepare the cards in the ad hoc effort. They'll be delivered while practicing physical distancing.

Palwinder says they welcome others to carry on the idea in the future.
