The Bow Valley Grizzlies are ready to play their last regular season home game this weekend, Saturday Aug. 27.

The Grizz will take on the Calgary Saints at Mitford Ponds at 12:30 p.m., Grizzlies Div. 2 Coach Tyler Hawes says it may be an easy match.

"We'll see how that goes, I don't know if the Saints are faring too well," he says. "Our boys will be keen to keep up our winning ways, and they'll put in a good effort on Saturday."

The Grizzlies last played on Aug. 13 against one of the top teams in the league, the Calgary Saracens, and crushed them 48-24.

Hawes says the team is now looking towards their playoff run.

"The guys are kind of gearing up for playoffs, we're right at the top of the upper echelon of the league. We've got this game, and then we have another on Sept. 10 against the Canucks, who beat us in the regular season, so we'll look forward to that after this game on the weekend."

The Grizzlies currently sit first in the Calgary Rugby Union Division 2 standings.
