After a cold and snowy start to our week here in Cochrane, many are wondering if this weather is going to be sticking around all the way into Halloween.

Dan Kulak, meteorologist with Environment Canada warns of a chilly Monday night  "Know that we are looking at temperatures tonight at around minus 19 for an overnight low, that is significantly cooler then what we expect at this time of year."

"The good news is it is going to warm a bit by the middle part of the week, not quite back to normal but back into the positives at least."

Many people are seeing the snow and freezing temperatures as a precursor to what Halloween night is going to look like for all the kids trick-or-treating around town.

"Halloween the warm air moves back in a little bit, day time high of 4 but if it stays clear in the evening, we will have rapidly plummeting temperatures and will be a cooler evening."

"It might be one of the cooler Halloweens we have had in a while but not the worst one"
