The last First Responders Parade is being held tonight in the Riverview and Gleneagles neighbourhoods.

For the last few weeks, police, fire, and ambulance emergency responders have been touring Cochrane communities, accepting donations of unwrapped gifts, nonperishable food, and gifts cards.

It's all in support of the Share Your Christmas campaign of the Cochrane Activettes.

Jeff Avery, of Cochrane Fire Services, says the response has been amazing.

"We brought in plenty of groceries for the Activettes and a lot of Christmas presents, so there's going to be a lot of people that are going to get some food hampers this year," says Jeff Avery, of Cochrane Fire Services, "and that's all thanks to the residents of Cochrane."

At 5 p.m., the emergency responders will tour through the Riverview community with their lights flashing and sirens occasionally sounding and will then head to Gleneagles to do the same.
