Last night, Cochrane's Dillon Dube scored his first NHL hat-trick in the Calgary Flames 7-3 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Dube scored one in each period, with linemate Matthew Tkachuk assisting on all three.

"I think it feels good, but (like) anything with our division, winning is everything and that makes it feel even better," said Dube in a post-camera interview. "To be able to get the win with it, it feels really good - especially at home, we got a good start on our 'stand here."

The triplet of goals has doubled Dube's production on the season to six goals.

Flames shooters had no trouble finding the net, with the other four goals coming from Brett Ritchie, Sean Monahan, Josh Leivo, and Derek Ryan.

The Flames remain fifth in the NHL's northern division, two points ahead of the Vancouver Canucks. The Sens are alone in the basement with just eight wins in 26 games.

Calgary heads to Edmonton on Saturday night to face the Oilers for the latest chapter in the Battle of Alberta.

Sunday they return to the Dome to once again face the Senators.
