It's Seniors' Week here in Cochrane and to kick off the celebrations there will be a drive-by parade happening Monday.

The week of festivities is an annual event that focuses on celebrating those over 50 in our community.

It will look a bit different in these COVID-19 times with online and virtual events being held throughout the week.

The parade is the first event on the schedule starting at 9 a.m.

The convoy will include our own 91.5 CochraneNow cruiser along with Mayor Jeff Genung, Cochrane Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), Cochrane Fire Services, Cochrane Classic Car Club, Cochrane Jeepers, Cochrane Lions Rodeo Royalty, the Cochrane Pipe Band and Let’s Talk Cochrane.

The FCSS mascot Cinnamon Bear will be joining in the fun as well.

The parade will drive by all Cochrane senior living facilities between 9 and 11 a.m.

All times are approximate but here's a rundown of how the parade will look:

9:00am - depart SLSFSC

9:05am - Grande Avenue Village

9:20am - Big Hill Lodge

9:35am - Evergreen Manor

9:50am - Bethany Care
