With hospitalizations being used as the benchmark for Step One of the restrictions easement on Monday, February 8, numbers are looking good.

Hospitalizations have dropped below the 500 mark to 475 and there are four fewer people in ICU with a total of 89.

As of Friday afternoon, there are  396 new active cases in the province for 3.9% positivity rate.

There were nine more deaths reported over the past 24 hours.

Cochrane has dropped one more for a total of eight active cases. Rocky View County has dropped two cases for a total of 35 active cases.

Nakoda Emergency Management is reporting four new cases, one recovery, and a total of 56 active cases.

To date, 114,066 people have been vaccinated in the province.
