Cochrane's active COVID-19 cases dropped to below the 200 mark and with a total of 185 while Rocky View County dropped 14 cases to 276.

The downward trend in new cases continued on Saturday with the province reporting 1,195, the lowest number in nearly a month. 

The positivity rate was at 9.2 per cent. 

Active cases fell by 880 bringing the total in Alberta to 22,993.

Hospitalizations also dropped by 27 for a total of 686 while 178 are people are in ICU.

Three more deaths were reported in a 24 hours period bringing the total deaths in the province to 2,140.

There have been 2,144,280 doses of the COVID vaccine administered in Alberta with 40.6 per cent of the population having received one dose. 

There 7.3 per cent of Albertans that are fully immunized with two doses.
